There have been many studies and clinical trials on the benefits of Whole Body Vibration Training and Vibration Exercise to a wide range of clients. A clinical trial in 2019 showed a significant increase in bone density in subjects using whole body vibration versus high intensity impact exercises (HIIT).

In the arena of health and physical appearance, one of the least attractive and most unhealthy issues is visceral (or abdominal) fat. This is the fat around the mid-section that is very hard to target. A number of studies have shown supervised training with vibrational equipment to be one of the most effective means to reduce visceral fat. This chart below shows the results from a recent European Study and how whole body vibration training can significantly reduce belly fat.

Whole body vibration training can add an ancillary boost to calorie burn. The anecdotal data below shows the difference in heart rate (and therefore calorie burn) in one subject’s workout. The first chart shows the subject’s heart rate after his usual elliptical session, and the subsequent drop immediately after. The second chart shows the same workout, but with ten minutes spent standing still on a whole body vibration plate immediately following the elliptical. You can clearly see that the subject’s heart rate (and therefore calorie burn) stayed elevated (110 beats per minute) when using the whole body vibration plate after the elliptical session. Because of this increased calorie burn on the plate, we can keep classes short without sacrificing the benefits to the client.
